Ban.do me Baby! Today, I’m in the baby mood. A very dear friend’s sister just gave birth to a beautiful baby boy- and not that I recommend dressing newly-born baby boys in embellished head pieces or large colorful flower corsages- but the colors, the feeling of joy, it all seems to go with the miracle of life (at least in my mind it does). So in conjunction with new life, I present to you a new brand- Band.do.
        These amazing head pieces are a perfect way to accent an updo or add a little something extra to an old top or plain black dress. I am loving everything about their black label (two items from the above, with the black backgrounds, come from this collection)! And while the prices are a bit steeper for the avant-garde looks, it’s well worth it for one of kind pieces that will always be in style.
        The hair accessory trend has really taken off over the past year. And the regular ol’ headband just doesn’t quite cut it these days. If your not wearing it across your forehead with some kind of embellishment, feather, or birdcage- than your still in fourth grade, and your mom does your hair (I’ve got some terrible school pictures cataloguing this very event). Even turbans have made a statement on tons of runways and editorials. Strange, you’d think a man’s headdress, predominately worn by Muslims and Sikhs wouldn’t exactly be noted for it’s fashionability. Nevertheless, this is the current trend and you best be on it.
