Hey GS lovers,

This is a special request blog from a few of my friends and fans all about my daily beauty routines. It is so flattering and I never thought I’d be asked for my beauty secrets, but here is my list of products to swear by, hope you enjoy.

Skin:
To begin with- I have to thank my mother who insisted on monthly facials from the age of 8 until I moved out of our house and off to college (18). I think this was the major foundation that attributed to my clear skin throughout the years, but these products have also had a huge impact.

  • Dermalogica‘s “clearing face wash” followed up with their “active moist” moisturizer. (These two products have been my staple for over 15 years… every morning and before bed). It is really important to not sleep in make-up as it easily clogs pores, but trust me I know how hard it can be after a late night out. A little trick I sometimes use for those extra late nights, when I can’t fathom actually washing my face, is Neutrogenia‘s Make-up remover towelette’s in Lavender (for night calming). I can’t even begin to tell you the difference having a pack of these in your nightstand can make.
  • Dermalogica SPF 30 Extra Rich Faceblock. This product is seriously essential for ANYONES beauty routine. No matter who you are, it is so important to where an SPF on your face EVERYDAY. Even if it is a cloudy day, those rays will get ya and they cause wrinkles… bad wrinkles!
  • Dermalogica Multivitamin power firm. I use this product under my eyes, and in my laugh lines before bed about three times a week. It is a mild anti-aging serum that helps to hydrate these areas that tend to form wrinkles in the face with age.
  • Makeup:
I am a total MAC make-up junkie. I use at least three different concealers in rotation (depending on the occasion).

  • For day and in the winter months I opt for Studio Fix Fluid in NW20 with SPF 15. I like this foundation a lot because you can build coverage. For daytime I like to keep things lighter but build it up at night for a fuller coverage look.
  • For an all-night look I am obsessed with MAC’s Pro Longwear SPF 10 foundation. This concealer gets the job done every time! I love it for long days at photo shoots followed by late night networking with no breaks in between.
  • And for days when I’m needing a little “all over” coverage- say at a poolside party, I use MAC’s face and body foundation. This stuff is literally magical and works like paint to cover any flaws you might want to hide. Oh yea, and did I mention it’s water resistant?
  • To keep everything in place I use MAC’s mineralize skinfinish powder in medium plus. This is the best way to keep your concealer staying put on your face and no where else.
  • For eyes I typically choose a smoky look (for both day and night actually). But before any shadow hits my eye, I apply “Bare Study” paint pot as a base to keep my shadows from caking or disappearing after a long day. My fav shadow is sketch.. it is a deep plum and I use the number 217 brush for blending. I like to keep the creases darker with a light sweep towards the inside. Next I plant on some black eye liner in my water line, I sweep a little liquid liner from the half-way part of my eye to a little past the edge of my eye (to give a bit of a cat-like effect). I follow up with some mascara- I rotate between all the latest products from Maybelline (right now I’m super obsessed with “The Falsies”. I finish things off with a sweep of bronzer on both cheeks and a swipe of “c-thru” tinted lip glass for a fresh finished look.
  • Hope you all enjoyed and if you have any questions on where to get these products or how to use them- send them my way.

    xoxo
